1. About BigLift Cranes

Any crane size discussed during an initial enquiry is subject to confirmation based on the actual requirements of the lift.
BigLift Cranes may recommend a different crane or lifting arrangement where required based on operational or safety considerations.
5. Site Access and Conditions
Customers are responsible for providing accurate information about the proposed work site and any conditions that may affect crane access or operation.
This may include information about:
- Driveways and access points
- Roads and surrounding areas
- Overhead structures
- Power lines
- Ground conditions
- Nearby buildings
- Trees and other obstructions
- Site restrictions
If actual site conditions differ from the information provided, the job may need to be modified, delayed or rescheduled.
Additional costs may also apply where additional requirements arise.
BigLift Cranes may decline, postpone or stop a lifting operation if site conditions are considered unsafe or unsuitable.
6. Safety
All lifting operations must be carried out in accordance with applicable Australian laws, regulations, workplace safety requirements and relevant industry standards.
BigLift Cranes may take reasonable steps to protect workers, the public, equipment and property during lifting operations.
Where unsafe conditions arise, BigLift Cranes may delay, modify or stop the operation until the relevant safety concerns have been addressed.
7. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for:
- Providing accurate information about the lifting job
- Informing BigLift Cranes of known site hazards
- Providing reasonable access to the work area
- Ensuring the load is ready for lifting at the agreed time
- Obtaining any permissions or approvals that are the customer's responsibility
- Following reasonable site safety instructions
- Informing BigLift Cranes of any changes to the job requirements
Failure to meet these requirements may result in delays, additional charges or cancellation of the scheduled work.
8. Scheduling and Availability
BigLift Cranes will make reasonable efforts to attend jobs at the agreed time.
However, scheduling may be affected by circumstances including traffic, weather, site conditions, equipment availability, changes to previous jobs, emergencies and other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Same-day and short-notice crane hire may be available depending on crane and operator availability.
Availability is not guaranteed until the booking has been confirmed by BigLift Cranes.
9. Changes to Job Requirements
Customers must notify BigLift Cranes as soon as possible if the requirements of a job change.
Changes may include:
- A different load
- Increased load weight
- A different lifting or placement location
- Changes to site access
- A different crane requirement
- Changes to the scheduled time
- Additional lifting requirements
Changes may affect the quotation, crane selection, availability and scheduling.
10. Weather and Unforeseen Conditions
Lifting operations may be delayed, postponed or stopped due to weather or other conditions that create an unsafe working environment.
Where circumstances outside BigLift Cranes' reasonable control affect a job, we will communicate with the customer regarding the available options.
11. Payment
Payment terms, rates and applicable charges will be communicated to the customer as part of the quotation or booking process.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, customers are responsible for paying the agreed charges for services provided by BigLift Cranes.
Additional work, changes to the original job requirements or additional requirements at the site may result in additional charges.
12. Cancellation and Rescheduling
Customers should provide as much notice as possible if they need to cancel or reschedule a booking.
Cancellation and rescheduling arrangements may depend on the timing of the request, crane allocation, operator availability and other costs already incurred.
Any applicable cancellation or rescheduling charges will be communicated to the customer where relevant.
13. Delays
BigLift Cranes will make reasonable efforts to minimise delays.
However, delays may occur due to circumstances including traffic, weather, site access, customer readiness, changes to job requirements, equipment availability, safety concerns or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Where reasonably possible, BigLift Cranes will communicate with the customer regarding significant delays.
